Desiree is so much more than just our amazing cake decorator!
My passion for baking started when I was about 9 yrs old when my parents gave me an Easy Bake Oven that year for Christmas. After that I would always help my dad bake during the holidays. I loved everything from mixing simple ingredients to making tasty treats and especially enjoyed the creativity of decorating. Deciding to stick to my passion, I attended Johnson & Wales University where I studied baking and pastry. After finishing school, I worked as a cake decorator at Mazur's Bakery in Lyndhurst. I would also help make all the desserts at my parent's restaurant. After that, I was the pastry chef at Roots Steakhouse in Summit and Morristown and then moved on to Rails Steakhouse in Towaco where I was the opening pastry chef. After that I was the opening pastry chef for Viaggio Restaurant in Wayne while being the cake decorator at the wonderful Scoop House in Boonton.
